HNW seeks a Senior Editor to oversee the development of custom publications for high net worth and affluent audiences. The position requires deep and broad knowledge of finance, strong editorial and project management skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities.

 Responsibilities:

• Develop article topics and editorial lineups, assign stories to freelancers, and edit copy for articles, white papers, social media and print newsletters—from concept to final product.
• Translate clients’ value proposition, tone and point of view into engaging editorial.
• Build and maintain key relationships in client organizations.
• Help develop pitches and launch new publications.
• Actively contribute to the firm’s knowledge base in personal finance and wealth management topics for high-net-worth audiences, such as investing, media use, demographic trends, estate planning, retirement issues and more.
• Effectively sell your story ideas to HNW’s senior editors and clients.
• Manage and grow HNW’s network of freelance contributors.

Qualifications:

• Five years minimum work experience in journalism, custom publishing, a marketing agency or client-side editorial department.
• Seasoned project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to write and edit articles on complex financial topics.
• Solid understanding of the financial services industry and related topics such as personal finance, relevant policy, the regulatory environment, investing, and philanthropy.
• Outstanding editing and writing skills as demonstrated by a portfolio of clips.
• Strong conceptual, strategic and verbal communication skills.
